- Get measured every six months. The size of your breasts and their position can fluctuate often.
You should be able to take a deep breath with your bra fastened at the middle hook.
The center of your bra should lie flat against your rib cage. A gap means the cup size is too small.
Straps should never dig into your shoulders. If loosening them leaves you supportless, choose wider straps instead.
If the back of your bra rides up, the band size (34, 36, etc) is too large.
